PM Bro Iain(John)Fraser – 1972 to 1974

PM Bro Iain Fraser   Iain is still an active and very well respected member of our lodge. He has unselfishly contributed to his lodge and his community all of his professional working life, both as a police officer and a Freemason.

48 years service under his belt and still going strong, and the Brethren at lodge Averon have the privilege of having Ian amongst us.

Iain was initiated into lodge Averon No 866 in 1964 and was Master from 1972 until 1974. He is also an affiliate  member of Lodge Fortrose No 108 and joined the Hebrides Royal Arch Chapter in 1966 later affiliating to the Cromarty Firth Royal Arch chapter N0 310 and becoming its first Principle in 1974.

He has served as Provincial Grand Master and Grand Superintendent of the province of Ross and Cromarty.

Appointed second Grand Principal of the supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Scotland in 1988 he become Depute grand “Z” in 2002 and first Grand Principle in March 2009.

He is also a past district Grand Master of the District Grand Lodge of Central South Africa and is currently the representative of the Grand Lodge of India near the Grand  Lodge of Scotland.

A truly outstanding Brother, and one I am sure we aspire to emulate.
